Recognition

I'd say around 5-10% of each incoming class has been on CC at some point.

Last year, appointees and families from the incoming class of 2012 filled up a room of Olive Garden during one of the three sessions. People like fencersmom + family, missmuff, and others attended. I think there were close to 50 at that dinner?

it was a good time!

How many do you think are on the other fourm, serviceacademyforums?

Hornetguy,
I think you are right. There was a huge number of folks at the Olive Garden that evening. It was indeed a great time and gave the incoming cadets a peace of mind.

The CC dinner was a good time last year. Like Buckaroo said, its weird to be on the other side now.

My daughter and I were at the Famous Dave's dinner for the last orientation. It was truly the best part of the whole weekend. The cadets were very patient and answered so many questions, rotating between the appointee table and parent's table. Even after the cadets had to leave, the rest of us stayed a got to know each other well enough that we went through orientation together the next day. This is a great tradition that I hope continues.

ah famous dave's, the one i missed last year...

and mismuff, i kno ur real favorite part was FOCUS... haha ;)

but back to the topic... recognition: don't worry about it yet. first beat Comm's Challenge!!!

We get to have our doors closed that whole time, courtesy of our training officer (but we're still calling minutes). You know, our training officer isn't bad, considering he was one of the BCT group commanders. He's actually really nice.

actually, eagle, you're quite right!

can't wait 'til you get back :)
