Recommend a college for me? :D

Hey everyone! I'm not completely sure what I want to major in, but my ultimate goal is to go to a reputable law school after college. Would I have to pursue a political science major? Anyway, all the colleges I had on my mind are all reaches, so I feel extremely insecure. I feel that I should have a certain number of match/safety schools. With my stats, can you recommend any schools that are either a match or a safety school for me? Things I look for in a college are reputation, preferably near a big city, ease of mobility, and school spirit! I know this is terribly vague, but I'd like everyone's input. The "reach" schools that I'm considering applying to are Northwestern University, Washington University in St. Louis, UCLA, USC, Notre Dame, and University of Michigan. Obviously, I will narrow my list down, but it is what it is for now. University of Illinois is my "match" school. Anyway, here goes my stat rant.

*I just joined Youth and Government this year! (:
I help out at a homeless shelter every Monday during the fall/winter
I'm a three time participant of the Relay for Life cancer fundraiser
My interests shifted from athletics to more academically oriented ECs after my sophomore year, and my grades reflect that change.
Course Rigor:
Minus the Honors Spanish 3 class, I've taken the most rigorous courses our school has to offer. I've completed 5 AP courses, and I am taking 4 right now as a senior.

Any recommendations would be much appreciated!

As far as I’m aware, you don’t have to major in any particular field in order to apply to law school. If memory serves, you just need to complete a couple of prerequisite courses and take the LSAT examination.

Everything you listed for your ideal college are actually the things that I prefer to stray from…but from what you’ve listed so far I think that BU and BC would be pretty good for you. I’ve gathered that BC is a pretty spirited place from my visit there. The campus is also ridiculously huge.

Anyway, I think that BU is definitely a match/safety and that BC may be a match/very slight reach, but I haven’t done enough research into those colleges to be completely sure.

Cheers.

What state do you live in and what can your parents afford? For instance, UMich OOS is ~$50K/year.

Why do you have to narrow down if you have 6 schools? If you mean by school spirit that students are bonded with each other and love their school, you might want to add a few liberal arts colleges. Some top LACs are not that far from cities (Bowdoin is really in a suburb of Portland and Haverford is in a suburb of Philly). If you want one that is a safety maybe Trinity. If you are concerned about quality and not the closeness to a city then Amherst for a reach and Middlebury slight reach.
