I am an international student interested in applying to architecture schools in the US.
My test scores and grades are good, but unfortunately I ran out of time for taking SAT II Subject Tests which many universities require. What are the best universities in the US that do not require SAT II Subject Tests but are very good and competitive?
Thank you for your help...

You can give UVA a look.

is that university of virginia?

If you can draw, Cooper Union (NY), RISD (RI), and Sci-arch (CA) might be something to look into.

There’s also a Architecture Major forum on CC.

Virginia Tech has a very well respected architecture program and the school itself does not require applicants to submit SAT II subject tests. If I remember correctly when s was applying to schools last year, UVA strongly recommended at least 2 SAT II subject tests. UVA offers a 4 year BS in Architecture, VT offers the 5 yr. BARCH. Both are great schools. Good luck to you!

thanks again

Cal Poly San Luis Obispo

This depends on what degree you are interested in: 5-yr BArch or 4-yr BA or BS in Architectural Studies.

I suggest you post your question on the Architecture forum.

Colleges with good architecture programs and no SAT II requirement:
UT-Austin, Michigan, UIUC, Virginia Tech, Cal Poly San Luis Obispo, RISD, U of Oregon.

U of Virginia does require SAT II.

If you have a good portfolio, you may try some of the 5-yr BArch schools. They may overlook your lack of SAT II.
