<p>I am trying to find some colleges on the east coast/eastern US, but haven't decided on a major as of yet. Would it be possible to just recommend some colleges that I have a decent chance of being accepted to?</p>
<p>Took numerous honors classes offered at my school</p>
<p>3 AP Classes (All A's, and prior to senior year)
Currently taking 4 more AP classes as a senior</p>
<p>(Also, the high school I attend operates on a 7 point grading scale, on a ten point scale my gpa is considerably higher)</p>
<p>Extra Curricular Activities:
-School Drama Club (Crew)
-Local Watershed/Environmental Group (active volunteer of 4 years),well known organization in the Appalachian region
-Started a small lawn mowing Business
-Went to DC as an alternate in the national Environmentors competition (science fair esque program)
-Proficient in several musical instruments and regularly play shows (not sure if this even matters)</p>
<p>Some colleges on the East coast, besides the Ivies, MIT, or Duke, would be like Tufts, Boston College, Boston University, UNC Chapel Hill, U Virginia, U Rochester, NYU, and maybe Emory (even though that’s in the South East).</p>
<p>"-Proficient in several musical instruments and regularly play shows (not sure if this even matters)" = yes it does, especially if you’re paid or play alongside/after adults.
“Started a small lawn mowing Business” = do you have employees? who takes care of accounts, taxes (if applicable)?</p>
<p>What’s your home state?
Are you going to a public or private high school/how competitive is it?
Will you require financial aid (need-based?) or will be be better if you have merit aid (if parents have money but their EFC is too high) or can you afford to be full pay? Have you discussed financial matters with your parents?
Are you a legacy somewhere or are you first gen?</p>
<p>With your stats, reasonable choices could be
SUNY Geneseo (NY)
Elmira College (NY)
St Michael’s College (VT)
Goucher College (MD)
Ursinus College ¶</p>
<p>You’d stand very good chances of admission there.</p>
