recommend me some private schools, please

Newman: Ithaca and Syracuse BOTH have ED; If you are a full pay student, you definitely have a shot at both for ED IMO…I don’t think that Newhouse@ SU would be an option with your stats, but if you enter SU into A&S, you can get a great GPA freshman year and then apply to Newhouse as a soph transfer

You should look into U Maryland Baltimore County…not sure if it has your majors.

Have you considered Quinnipiac in Connecticut?
I know they have strong communication & business programs. Location, quick commute to NY, is nice too.

Wow this is funny that I have gotten 4 suggestions of schools I have already visited and liked, this means they are good matches for me!

Right now I am going to apply ED to Syracuse I have good connections to the Sports Management program, actually if it works out outstanding connections but if I don’t get into that program I would just take the easiest school possible to go there.

UMBC is too close by for my liking, I live in Baltimore.

Be careful of the SU strategy…sports management is extremely competitive as a freshman; with your grades, I would ED a&s…but speak to an admissions counselor in advance and ask them…there just seemed to be alot of people this past admissions season who were not bumped down to their alternate school, but rather WL for their first choice…not sure with ED though…

Yeah I would put down 2nd and 3rd choice schools but I have a very strong connection to the Sports Management program there, but if I don’t get into that but lets so A&S or a different major in the Human Ecology school I would be open to that for a year.

Long Island University? Hofstra?

Another Long Island suggestion—Adelphi. The OP’s stats fit the proflie and they offer all of the programs that he’s looking for.

Hofstra (Business, Communication)
Monmouth (Business)
University of Miami (Business, Sports Management)

I also echo the suggestion to take a look at Ithaca College.

Clark University

Okay, young fella, if you can get that 25, and your GPA works out the way you expect, you might have an outside shot at Muhlenberg College in Pennsylvania. Historically, Muhlenberg was founded by the Lutheran Church. However, for reasons no one can explain, Muhlenberg has more Jewish students than any other religion. It’s close to 30% Jewish. Get hold of a Princeton Review Guide, 2008 or 2009, or a Fiske Guide and look up Muhlenberg. Also visit their website.

My D was accepted there but changed her mind because she thought it was too close to home (only 7 miles away!).

I strongly recommend a campus visit, tour, AND an interview. And, yes, you can get a business major at Muhlenberg, even though it is a private Liberal Arts College.
