Im looking for summer programs. Preferably two weeks or less. I'm interested in all fields but probably want to study business, engineering, or political science(strange mix i know, politics is my thing but no $$ in it) in college. Hopefuly something that looks good on an app

This is three weeks, but Rose-Hulman’s Operation Catapult would be an option.

Two weeks is very short. Many programs are three weeks or more. However, you can try looking at Summer@Brown, Stanford’s EPGY, and other college programs. I think BU has one along with many other schools. Keep in mind these programs won’t necessarily be outstanding on your college applications but they may show your commitment to learning and interest in subjects.

I have to agree. 2 weeks is really short. A lot of the best summer pre-college programs that are most prestigious are a lot longer. If you want college credit you have to do AT LEAST 3 weeks, and more realistically 6. Summer research/internships through colleges, which are really helpful with college application, are all over 2 weeks.

My daughter did a trip with Loop Abroad to Thailand, they used to only have 4-week trips but now they have a 2-week trip. She proposed an internship to them, and they’ve been working with her for a year! She is really into international relations and politics, so she’s been working to research and create some curriculum units on how politics effects international development. She’s learned a lot and that internship has been mentioned by LOTS of admissions officers in a positive way.

Summer@Brown was awesome, I did 3 weeks and cried on the last day (quite literally)… I think 2 weeks is not enough for anything (speaking from experience, I did a 2 week program a while back) : You can’t really learn that much, you can’t really go out that much (only one week end!), you can’t really get to know people that much… I think if the time you’re going there is average (like 2wks), your experience there will be too…

Cornell U Catalyst
Theres TONS of engineering programs but if you want to mix the to perhaps you should do one summer program and one class.
