Hi, I am a high school sophomore who has just started thinking about college and where I might want to investigate. So, instead of posting stats and a "dream school" I thought it would be interesting to post some info. about me and see what people recommend (do people do that often). All opinions and suggestions are welcome.

Basic info

School

My school has no 'academic' clubs (and no interest from students)

Interests-MATH, science, technology

Thanks

it is really difficult to just make up colleges as everybody is different. do u want a city school, urban, large, small, what major, public, private. If you give some more info it will be a lot easier

I like the idea of the thread, but a little bit of info would help. What geographical area are you interested in? Small or large school? Have you thought about possible majors or careers that interest you? And while it is a good time to start looking, you’re only a sophomore so your interests may, and probably will, change.

sorry if I wasn’t specific enough, I’m a little new to this

OK, my favorite subjects are math and science, but I also enjoyed my school’s required technology course, so I guess major that I would be interested in are Math(but not stats) or engineering.

I’d be most interested in a private university that sends many students to grad school(maybe its own grad school), and is strong in math. I would like to go to a school where academically, I’m more average than in high school.

but also, I’m just looking for suggestions so I know where to start, so even a type of school or things you think I should take into more consideration would be appreciated.

Thanks for reading this and giving your opinion.

I’m just going to throw some random colleges/universities out there because this is very difficult. These are very competitive schools that you can strive for if you get good SAT scores (2200+), keep up your academics, and get some more leadership in EC’s. I tried to include a wide range of schools.
