The Daily Show; The Colbert Report; Grey's Anatomy, The Office and Boston Legal

Apparently I'm bad at online sarcasm. Do not watch Flavor of Love, as your IQ drops the longer you watch it.

^hah i agree

anyway. plenty of good shows. House. Gilmore Girl (done, but reruns obv), Gossip Girl (damn good teen soap), Project Runway (best reality show), The Office.....
just remember that life is definitely not like whats on tv =P Oh how I wish that I could afford 1/345678 of Blair's wardrobe on Gossip Girl.

@Mike: oops sorry I didn't read the "and if your really want some insight into American culture" part of your post. All I saw was "Flavor of Love" and my jaw dropped. Anyway, your sarcasm comes off fine... :)

Channels:
CNN, FOX News, CSPAN, Comedy Central, History Channel, Discovery Channel

Shows:
Lou Dobbs, O'Reilly Factor (annoying sometimes though), Daily Show, Colbert Report, SOUTH PARK!!!, The Simpsons, Family Guy, Myth Busters, Survivorman, Reno 911 (sometimes).

etc.

South Park, Family Guy, The Colbert Report, Lost, Prison Break, Heroes, and House

LOST

PERDUS (l'

Perdus is so hilarious to see.

is it the same thing? or just similar shows?

i agree with unleashedfury with southpark. and for the guy that said fairly odd parents..... you can also go watch sponge bob square pants, teletubbies, treehousetv, teletoon... etc

"Freaks and Geeks" -- It's set during the early 80s, but it's the best television show I've ever seen!
"Twin Peaks" -- An older show, and maybe a little weird for some people, but a good one.
"Lost" -- Totally frustrating, but the first season is definitely worth watching.
"Dead Like Me" -- Bryan Singer's ("Pushing Daisies") best work!
"The Wonder Years" -- Once again, not set during current times, but it's one of the best coming-of-youth shows ever made.

House, Heroes, The Daily Show, Colbert Report, and I guess Lost as well.

Oh, I forgot to mention The Office which is pretty funny.

family guy, the simpsons, and...futurama!

The Office is originally British! House's lead actor is from a little town called Oxford in Oxfordshire.

I would stick with a few staples. The Simpsons, The Daily Show (or The Colbert Report or both), The Wire (if you have access to HBO or DVDs), and maybe The West Wing.

If you're a guy, I would recommend keeping up with American sports. It's a major topic of conversation.

Band of Brothers, not really a TV show but if you haven't watched it by now, you should.

HOUSE! and Friends

Bones - about a forensic anthropologist who studies murders

House - crazy doctor

Lost - they're stranded on a mysterious island.

those are the only tv shows i watch.

Monk - it's a funny show about this ex-detective who has OCD

Law and Order SVU - Top quality crime drama, but has some graphic/grim storylines...But what I really like is the character development within the show.

Friends - really awesome show

If you like medicine/doctors, I highly suggest ER. IMO, the earlier seasons were a WHOLE lot better than it is now.

The Simpsons

Psych

Also if you like medicine, watch House. Super funny.

Boston Legal!!!!!
