I'm a rising senior and I would like to have your opinion on schools that I should apply to. I'm looking to probably major in Physics, or some kind of engineering.

GPA:3.6
AP's:Micro,USH,Physics,Chem,Calc BC, Comp Sci

Extracurriculars
-Research Internship at local University
-Chess Team
-Programming
-Project Euler
-Community Service (Minimal)

State: IL

What I'm looking for in a school
-Research opportunities for undergrads (VERY IMPORTANT)
-Strong Academics (VERY IMPORTANT)
-Good Financial Aid (Important)

Income Bracket: 60k
I'm expecting contributions from nothing to 15k
So suggest me some good schools!

roughly 76% of undergrads are involved with research
great academics, including in Physics & Engineering
report said they met need most of the time (96%)
your stats fit right at their 75%

Others to consider that I’m familiar with:
Case Western (generally good with financial aid)
Pittsburgh (can be good with merit aid, but you might be a little under what you’d need for stats)
Clarkson (can be good with aid and decent Engineering program)

at erin’s dad, uiuc is one of the top engineering schools, but their financial aid I don’t think they are generous enough. I think the perfect school with excellent academics and awesome financial aid is Stanford University. Looks like a choice for your interests.
