Recommendation dilemma...

Hi,

while applying to michigan and cornell, I am going to ask one of my math teachers for one of the recommendations. My 11th grade math teacher knows me really well and I have received exceptional marks in her class. However, in 12th grade my new math teacher barely knows me and my mark is slightly lower. Should I ask for my 11th grade math teacher for reccomendation, or is the most recent teacher going to speak for you?

Thanks

ask the 11th grade teacher…

^^^ ditto. It is actually most common to use jr year teachers because when they write your LOR they have had you a full year (unlike sr teachers) and because they are usually teaching higher level courses than soph year teachers.
