Recommendation Forms (how to send in)

how do you send in recommendation forms if you're applying online? I don't get the whole process...

bump... like how do you give it to ur teachers, and how to send it in afterwarsds.

give an envelope with the address written on it. the teacher will send it .

do you get the forms by printing them out? Is that alright? if pieces of the application are sent to the colleges one at a time?

Yes, you have to print it. However some colleges like Michigan allow you to register recommenders online, so your teachers can log in to their own accounts and submit their part of the recommendation. However, the traditional mailing method is easier and more popular, I believe.

At our kids' HS, students have the option of having the letters sent as part of a packet from the school with the transcripts or independently. Most send them as part of the transcript package, so it comes as a complete set instead of piecemeal (we think it's easier for the colleges to keep everything together rather than a trickle of stuff).

The other option is for the student to give the forms & stamped, addressed envelopes to each of the folks writing their recs & letting them send them in separately from the transcript package the school sends.
