Recommendation Forms - PLEASE HELP.

I had trouble using the Common App, I thought if I simply added a teacher it would be enough but I barely found out they had to be ASSIGNED. I am so mad and frustrated sigh Well one of my teachers already submitted there's but my English teacher hasn't started. I don't know if I should e-mail considering it's New Years Day but most of my schools need a recommendation from my core classes. I am just afraid of deeming irresponsible. :c So these are my questions...

Can teachers submit recommendation after deadline?

I was going to have my yearbook teacher do one because she's known me for four years, so can that replace that one? or does it HAVE to be from a science, history, English, language teacher?

Most schools allow recommendations to be submitted after the deadline. However there are exceptions for schools that have “document deadlines” like Michigan. You needed to check for each school.

Look at the school requirements; if they want the recommendation from a core teacher then submit the English teacher. Be sure to thank that teacher since they have to do such letters during their free time. If the school allows extra recommendations then I would submit the yearbook teacher as an extra one. One the Common App you can check who allows extra ones.

Good luck.
