<p>Hi, I'm a bit confused about the whole teacher recomendation process on the Common application. </p>

<p>So, if I send out an invite to my teachers, and they complete the forms, I can assign their forms to whichever colleges I want to apply to? </p>

<p>So, let's say that I told my teachers I needed rec letters for Caltech and MIT, and then I decided I also wanted to apply to Stanford. Would I be able to assign their rec letter forms for Caltech and MIT (because they're the same forms, if I'm not mistaken) directly to my Stanford application, or would I have to ask them to send another separate recommendation letter for just Stanford?</p>

<p>I have the same question, too. One of my teacher said that she will only write recommendations for five colleges. But isn’t it basically writing one letter and sending it to all the colleges I want to apply to?</p>

<p>The teacher recs process is similar to our common app in the sense that some parts are the same for all colleges but others are a bit different, by asking your teacher to fill out recs for you for different colleges you are essentially asking them to do the process three times although some of the information is the same there are things that change just as if your applying to various schools</p>
