Recommendation from another college

I am applying to Cornell University and would like to send a recommendation from another Ivy League University where I did research. Do you think its a good idea? Will it add to my not so competitive app? I know it will not make or break their decision, but can it help.

It might help a little bit. Better than not doing anything at all.

thanks. any other thoughts?

would the school that you did the research at wonder why you didn’t apply there? and if so, would the letter of rec be any good?

im applying there as well. In fact, its my number one choice. I hope its good, I wont be able to see it though.

The point isn’t that it’s from another college. The point is that it’s from a professor who has seen you in a context that’s not common for high school students and can therefore write an interesting rec about you.
