Recommendation from my Freshman math teacher...

I'm in a bit of a predicament... I unfortunately haven't taken math for 2 years (Junior/Senior) due to the scheduling of my school (I take 4 periods of Aircraft Powerplant class each day... >.<). I'm looking to major in engineering so it would be preferable to get a science and math teacher's recommendation right? I have no problem finding a science teacher but my problem is my math teacher. As I stated before I haven't taken math for 2 years, my last teacher was during my sophomore year, which I got a 95 in the class. She no longer works at the school I'm attending so my last bet is my freshman math teacher which I also got a 95 in the class. The problem is that I really doubt she would remember me after all these years... should I ask her anyways and give her as much information about myself? In dire need of advice...

Thanks in advance. =)

Why do you need a math teacher recommendation if you’re already getting a science teacher recommendation? Do the schools you’re applying to require both math and science teacher recommendations? If not, why not go for another teacher in another subject who knows you better?

Yeah, one math/science rec is enough. Get the other one from an English/social studies/language/whoever knows/likes you the best teacher.

Well the school states that it’s PREFERABLE to get both a math and science.
