I just went and checked on my UVA application status, and it says that it has received my school transcript, but when I went to check on the status of my recommendations, neither of my teacher recs had been recieved. I'm afraid that my teachers just glanced over the UVA e-mails, because all of my other recs were in paper form. Could this possibly be attributed to UVA still organizing everything, or do I have to remind my teachers? I don't want to be rude about reminding them if they already have. Any advice here?

Doesn't hurt to check ... just phrase it politely ... something like "Hey mr/mrs. ----, did you get a chance to finish the UVA online reccomendation?"

Yes, it's getting a little bit late now. Likely letters came out in Feb. last year. You want to be sure everything is there.

Yea, I just sent one of my teachers a nice e-mail. It's just weird, it says neither of my two teachers have submitted them yet, which I think is somewhat unlikely considering they're both very organized. Whatever, we shall see.

I'll answer this with a quote.
[QUOTE]
"Your application has been received and is being processed. At this time, we are data-entering thousands of credentials which have been mailed to us. If items are not listed as received, please do not call our office at this time. First year applicants can expect to see items listed as received at the end of January. We will contact you if we are missing any documents crucial to the review of your application. First-year applicants should also log back in to submit mid-year or first trimester grades online as soon as they are available.

Thank you for applying online to the University of Virginia."

When my teacher tried to submit the UVA recommendation online through the email she was sent, she was unable to do it and was forced to fax it in. maybe this happened to your teachers too?
