I currently have a teacher who hasn’t taught me before until now, but knows me personally for the most parts since the beginning of this school year. Is it fine to ask her for a recommendation letter? I am a senior.
Yes, a senior year teacher is acceptable as long as you expect the letter to include some meaningful anecdotes. My AP Econ teacher (I took 1st semester Senior year) wrote one of my LORs and I was accepted into many very selective colleges.
Yes- as long as she will be able to get to know you in a classroom setting, and can speak highly of your ability there as well as personal attributes, she will be fine as a recommender.
As long as she has enough classroom time with you to comment on your academic performance it should be fine.
