<p>Can someone who isn't/has never been your teacher write you a recommendation letter? Like maybe you're really into an extracurricular activity, can that person write you a rec letter? And if so, which form should he/she use on the common app?</p>
<p>For the required recommendation(s), they should be from teachers in core subjects. A non-teacher should only write a supplemental rec. They can just do so on letterhead stationary, they don’t need a CA form.</p>
