Hi there! I am a National Merit Semifinalist, and I have a question about the school written recommendation. I talked to my guidance counselor recently and she said I could use one of my teacher recommendation letters for it, as she doesn't want to have to write one. I was under the impression that the guidance counselor had to write it. So I was wondering can a teacher write the letter or must it be the guidance counselor? Thanks in advance.

@Awittyname…A teacher recommendation letter is just fine. Many of the HS delegate the letter writing to a GC or a teacher, so re-cycling one that has previously been written is fine. My D2 is using the same LOR that was submitted with her college apps.
