<p>I recommend (no pun intended) getting it from the people who will give you the best recs, and if possible, two completely different subject areas (they have to be different--like one can be math and another science, but all other things equal, get one from say, and english teacher and the other from your math teacher or something).</p>

<p>It matters a bit. They say they like recs from teachers in two different fields, but they never really say the opposite fields are better, though it seems to be implied...</p>
