<p>I can't seem to find any information on the UF website about whether teacher recommendation letters are required. Also, would it be wise to send additional information like writing samples, etc? Or does UF have too big of an applicant pool for it ever even be looked at?</p>

<p>I know for transfer students they won't accept letters of recommendation. Not sure about normal enrollment.</p>
<p>It's my understanding that admissions doesn't look at letters of recommendation or anything submitted other than required transcripts, test scores, extra curriculars and essay.</p>
<p>When I called I was told that they are going "paperless" and would not consider letters of rec.</p>

that's so silly... honestly.. if they want truly 'good' students, not just ones who do well in class and on tests...</p>
