I’m a freshman at St. John’s University in New York. I completed my fall semester but took the spring semester off because I had really bad mono. I’m looking to transfer schools but some schools on common app need recommendations. I was wondering if I could just have teachers from high school send letters instead of professors from college. One of my college professors liked me but I haven’t spoken with her in months and am not sure if I could get in contact with her as I am out of state and therefore not on campus. I’m not sure if she would write me a letter! I’m really concerned! Does anyone know if the recommendation letters absolutely have to be from college profs? Any answers are appreciated!
Your question should be directed at the transfer admissions office of your target school. Explain your circumstances – see what they say.
