I’m looking into enginnerring as a strong possibility in college. Knowing this, it seems that science and math would be the best teachers to get recommendation letters from. However, I was wondering if it’s possible to the letters from my junior year teachers instead of my upcoming senior year teachers. In all honestly, I’m not fully confident that my senior class teachers can write me a strong one. The one thing that’s bothering me though is I feel my junior year teachers might have forgotten my strengths or it will be awkward. I don’t want to seem like I have “no options, so I came to them” sort of situation. Is it normal for a senior to get recommendations from a junior teacher? Thanks.
Getting Jr year teachers is extremely commonplace. You’re fine.
Junior year teachers are the normal thing to do…they have seen you for a whole school year. ED applicatnts would only be in a class for a couple of months senior year.
Yes.
Thanks guys!
It is actually typical to ask a junior teacher for LOR as they have at least one full year experience with you and still fresh in mind. Some schools actually require junior or senior teachers for LOR (e.g. Stanford) unless it is an advanced level class taken before junior year.
