recommendation letters?

Is it better to get two or three recommendation letters?
If I can get one from my Sociology professor, one from Psychology professor and one from the Chair of PTK, would that help increasing my chance to get in?

I'm going to apply for UCLA Global studies major...
Although recommendation letters are not required, can I just mail them to the administration after I submit application online?

From UCLA's website:

Q: Where do I send transcripts or letters of recommendation?

A: UCLA does not usually want letters of recommendation or transcripts for the admission selection process. Our review is based on self-reported information provided on the UC Application form. In the event that we would need anything like this from you during our selection process, we would request them from you specifically.

Given the number of applications UCLA gets I'm don't think they would appreciate those letters. It certainly won't have any impact on your chances. If they wanted reccomendation letters, they'd ask for them.

UCs doesn't require letters of recommendation but USC might in case you wanna apply there.

Thank you! I guess now I just have to work more on my PS

Also might want to save them when applying for scholarships.
