Recommendation Online??

how can teachers get acess to the school forms online for common apps? and how can they send it to about 10 or so colleges?
do i have to print out the form and give it to them.which would be really bad because they have to copy it about 10 times..

There is an option under "School Forms" to invite your teachers to fill out the forms electronically.

I don't see that option, where is it?

On the left-hand toolbar, there is an option called "School Forms." Click that, and near the bottom of the page there should be a way for you to enter a teacher/counselor's information to send them an invitation to fill the forms out electronically.

i have the same question

at the bottom of the School Forms page there is no place to enter teacher information though... : (

i still don't see it.. okay, so log into my account and click on SChool Forms.. then there was a list of forms to be completed... i didn't see where i could invite my teachers to do teachers evaluation.. PLEASE>> HELP>>> IAM SO BEHIND>>>

Log in, and on the left-side toolbar click "school forms"- it's second to last, in between "payments" and "help." The list of "my colleges" should come up, and under it there should be a box titled "Recommenders." There should be a little notice and then under that notice there is a button, "Invite." Click it and follow the directions. Hope this helps!

well i did click School forms... but all came up was a lsit of all the forms... there was no colleges watsoever......
what is wrong?? is it another version of common apps?
PLease... Thank You so much

Hmm...I don't have that either. Maybe it depends on your school? I have a note about counselors doing it electronically through Naviance, but nothing else...

what is naviance????

Our school does Naviance too (basically a website the collects student data and helps w/ search, etc. The school buys a subscription). DS is talking to his counselor this week on if they use it for the Common App secondary school report or not. He gave the teachers who are writing recs the form & stamped envelopes, though. He wanted to be on the early side of asking (and they both appreciated it!) and snail mail works.

S1's applications don't appear to allow teachers to submit online either. Clicking on the School Forms Instructions shows this:

There are a number of school forms that are required to be submitted with your application. These are outlined in the list below. Your school currently uses Counselor's Office, an online tool from Naviance. The forms below can also be completed and submitted electronically by your counselor or instructor(s) through Counselor's Office. Otherwise, using the forms below, they may complete the form once, copy, and submit to one or more member institutions. If your school requests that you print these forms out, and you have completed the Personal Data and Address sections of the Common Application, some of the applicant information will be printed on the forms for you.

Most institutions require multiple Instructor Evaluations. To determine how many are required for your selected institutions, please contact the institution directly.

Make sure your secondary school counselor includes your high secondary profile and official transcript with their completed Secondary School Report.

There's no link that invites teachers to submit online recs, and no further information about submitting online. I guess paper is the only way to submit them in this case.
