Hey guys. This summer I did an internship for the National Space Biomedical Research Institute and its pretty much the highlight of my extracurriculars. I was just talking to the lady I work with this summer and she asked me if I wanted a recommendation from her. How cool is that!

Does anyone know how I should send a recommendation if it isnt from a teacher though. Should I just give them a Common App. Teacher evaluation and let them mention the context they knew me or just send a letter to the school on some official letterhead?

Thanks for any help.

Btw Im applying to UVA, Vanderbilt, Cornell, Georgetown, Wake Forest, and Miami if you know any specific school policies.

Thanks again.

i'm not an expert, but most schools only require two letters on the actual common app forms. i sent an extra rec to my schools from an art teacher, and just included it in an envelope without any extra forms.
anyone else know anything about this?

Some schools specifically request that you don't send and extra letters of recommendation (Notre Dame and Yale come to mind), so check with those college first.

Also, I would just have them send a letter, no form. They're not a teacher, and unless you intend to substitute this recommendation for a required teacher evaluation, there's no need for the checklist and whatnot. Be sure, however, that the letter at least contains a cover sheet with sufficient information with which to match the letter with your file.
