<p>I want to give the forms early to the teachers who've agreed to write me recommendations so the process is easier for both me and them. I'm concerned though about the teachers sending the recommendations in early. What will a college do with the recommendations if they receive them long before I actually apply? Will it be a problem if my teachers send the recommendations in October, but I don't submit my application until December?</p>

<p>I think the colleges keep early recommendations in a file until they receive the rest of your application, so there’s not much to worry about. Can you ask your teacher to wait until December to send them?</p>
