<p>How soon should I give my recommendation-writers thank you notes? Is there anything else I should give them?</p>
<p>I thanked my teachers/counselor personally and on email (one is on pregnancy leave this year so we did it all via email and mail). When it's decisions time, I plan on writing them a letter/card saying how my decisions went and giving them food. One of my teachers has two young kids so I plan on attaching little kidsey stuff for her.</p>

<p>My son gave his recommedation letter writers a thank-you note and little box of chocolates. I think they would have been happy with just the note, though. I don't think you need to worry about gifts if that feels weird to you. </p>
<p>It is nice to get back to them later when you have some acceptances, too, just to let them know how things turned out.</p>
<p>I'm definitely going to write them a card and maybe bake them something. I know most teachers here don't like when people buy them gifts.</p>
