A school that I’m applying to does not require a recommendation. However, I believe they still allow you to send them in (I’d have to email the admissions office with my applicant ID so that they can attach it). Should I send mine in? I have one that was written by my Language Arts teacher, who wrote a general one for my common app. I’ve had her in class for the past 2 years and know her well now. The rec. expresses my attitude in the classroom and my ability to do outside activities while being successful in school, and my tenacity with my studies.
*Their common data set has the categories “Very Important; Important; Considered; Not Considered” and puts an “x” under each for each category. With “Recommendation(s)”, the x is under “Considered”.
Could it increase my chances for admission or will it not really matter? Thanks!
