Kid has submitted Common App and supplements and school has confirmed receipt of them. However, school says the Recommendation letters and School Report have not been received. How is that possible, as they were all done online and uploaded together?

Who do we contact - Common App, the college, or the individuals who wrote recs?

Contact the college. It’s possible their system has separate entries for recs and school reports that arrive by mail, but since yours were electronically included with the app they aren’t reported in those categories.

How does it show on CA? Are those “submitted” or “downloaded”? Very often, schools do not download everything at the same time. Particularly, recommendations or school reports may not be ready for download at the time of submitting application.

Recommendations and school report were ready in advance of us submitting application … By about 2 weeks. 2 schools have app but not the rest. CA says they are available for download (in response to help ticket) but schools say no. This is based on an email to a live human at the school not a school portal. Another school got everything. So it may be a college problem but they think it’s us or the CA. Don’t know what to do.

My D’s school report and recommendation took 2 weeks before one of the school downloading it and they did that a week apart for that 2 components. So even it is ready for download, it does not mean the school would download everything at the same time.
