Recommendations for Comic Art / Cartooning Schools?

Have been reading and reading and reading ... thanks, Redbug119 for tip on MCAD, sounds great but a little beyond budget ... maybe not.

My daughter is a really good cartoonist ... she is studying in an art-oriented high school and is taking pre-college classes.

She wants to (a) go away, (b) preferably cold in winter, (c) not too big a school (<15000?) , but biggest criteria: able to study cartooning, graphic novel production, and maybe get a degree in Art Education or History / History Ed ...

Finding Art Ed / History ... both in nearly all schools. Ah, but cartooning ... where to go?

All recommendations welcome, thanks for your time.

I posted in another thread, but wanted to make sure you didn’t miss it. Do a search on sequential art, you may find some other choices. A few years ago, MCAD was one of only 3 schools that offered a BFA in comic art, but I think with the rise of the graphic novel, more schools are seeing that it wasn’t just a passing phase. I’m not sure what other schools offer it now, but just giving you another search term.

That phrase and “comic art” did help a lot. Thanks!
I will report my list / answer my own question later in week.
