Recommendations- Liberal Arts Colleges for a Non-traditional Student?

I am a 23 year old non-traditional student. i am wondering about the types of private/liberal arts colleges that would be likely to accept me/help me out financially. I have an ACT of 28, a gpa of 3.5 from my community college, and have won a few awards for english/writing from said college. Other than that, I have no extracurriculars to speak of. I screwed around in high school, for the most part, and my gpa was a 3.5 or so. I've spent five years kicking around my hometown, dealing with a few personal problems, and am now applying to public universities in my state. However, I've recently been thinking about applying to some liberal arts colleges (location doesn't matter), and i was looking for advice on where to apply. What would good bets be, given my information?

Have you talked with the transfer advisors at your community college? Some of them are very good, and can suggest LACs that are looking for good CC transfers. Here is a link to the transfer scholarship blog at our local community college MCTransferScholarships[/url”>http://mctransferscholarships.blogspot.com/]MCTransferScholarships You may find some interesting places there.
