Hello! I'm a newbie to these forums, and I'm going to be a Senior in the fall, which means that oh-so-fun experience known as applying to colleges. I have already come up with a tentative list of colleges for visiting this summer, but I am always searching for more and would love to hear any suggestions. :)

Home state: MA
Gender: Female
Race: Asian-American
High school: An average public high school & A weird public high school (Massachusetts Academy of Math and Science at WPI)

GPA: I am not sure but I would guess ~3.8 unweighted.
Class rank: ???
ACT: 35
SAT: 2220 (720CR /730M /770W)
SAT II: Just took Math 2 and Biology M, and the scores are not out

Extracurriculars: Existant but not extraordinary.
Editor of yearbook & lit magazine for Senior year, tech crew for theater performances (3 years), MA Drama guild competition, Academic Decathlon , piano & violin, art club
Community service: Volunteer regularly at an animal shelter (100+ hrs), engineering project to help a young boy with cerebral palsy
Other: Math modeling competition, science research project, classroom divisions of Mandelbrot and ACSL

What I am looking for:
Tentative major: Biology (general), maybe Microbio or Biochem. Basically, I would like to go to a school with a very strong biology department.
Location: New England, NY, or PA, urban/suburban
School size: Anything (preferably <10k students)
Must-have activities: Drama
Other: Diverse community (good Asian community?)

The current schools that I am reaching for are Tufts, Brown, and Wellesley.
Others: BU, BC, Brandeis, Dartmouth, Bowdoin, Connecticut College, Wesleyan, UPenn, Swarthmore, NYU, Cornell, RPI, Colgate, Hofstra, Fordham.

Comments? Help me narrow down my list or offer other suggestions to add?
Any help (or reality check =P) is greatly appreciated. Thanks!

SUre you don't want to consider Wash U in St. Louis? Its full of easterners, has a fab bio dept. and the best med school, or one of the best, in the nation. The undergrad is small and the campus is gothic like any Ivy. St. Louis, eh, I know its not great, but I have never had a friend who didn't love it there, and I m from new england.ANyway, your stats are really good so good luck.

Swarthmore is an excellent choice for you.
If you'd like, look at Haverford as well: it has an exceptionally strong natural sciences program.
