<p>Give the school a call. Find out if sending a recommendation helps or not. If the school doesn’t ask for a recommendation or explicitly states not to send one, then don’t because you don’t want to come off as being disobedient. I really can’t even think of any school that wouldn’t ask for recommendations besides the CUNY/SUNY schools.</p>
<p>Most schools don’t say anything about recommendations on their applications. Check their websites; it will give you precise directions about what is and is not required.</p>
