recommendations?

wow. This room is practically dead!
likely that noone will read this.. but..

does cooper look at counselor's and teacher's recs if you send them?
or do they just look at the home exams and SAT scores ONLY? (for arch)

if the recs are of no use,, i guess there's no point in sending them so...

um... bump

the home test is almost everything for arch, but a good rec can't hurt
for engineering it's mostly sat's, sat II's, GPA and AP sciences

Is the home test difficult? What about the portfolio?

i thought arch didn't need a portfolio..
the home test is really hard....

What is the home test like, for the art school at cooper?

The first time I applied I had a really nice recommendation but didn't get it I think they kept it on file though, because I never got it back). The second time I didn't have one, and I got in. My SAT's were 1040. The test IS difficult, and you have to work on it every minute that you have. There is also a questionnaire. They really want to be surprised. You need to think out of the box. They also like self portraits a lot. In the questionnaire, tell them why you really need to get in, don't be arrogant. I made fun of some of their questions, one was misspelled. I hope that helps. Good luck!

btw, that was for art. You need a portfolio and a test for arch. too.

for art, you need a portfolio + hometest and quite possibly a sketchbook.

for arch, hometest, SAT scores, transcript etc.

i think you have to write an essay too, as a part of the home test.

wats the hometest like for eng.?
