I'm from a non ranking school so I figure sending a couple letters of recommendation would be a good idea - how do I go about this, since there is no form? Just have my teachers write it out and sign it? Thanks!

You can mail them into the admission office at UT after your teachers write them, sign them, and seal them in an envelop. Just make sure that the envelop is labelled with something that lets the adcom know that it is a supplement to your application (and make sur your UT EID is on the letter, etc.). I would call the office to make sure you know the best way to get it into them without confusion since they have so many applications to deal with. All the best!

Usually the professor will sign the envelope seal for you. I just slapped the admissions address and my eid on the front and mailed it off. I checked later and they confirmed they’d gotten it.

Sorry to post a question, but with letters of rec, is alumni status of any importance?
I’m having 2 UT alumni that know me very well write my letters. Hoping UT will take this into consideration.

Are they UT Alum with buildings named after them?
