For those of you applying to many summer programs (5-8) and wanting to get recommendations from the same teachers for each one. How are you doing this? What I mean is, aren't you worried that you might be seen as asking for too much (cause you're asking them to fill out so many recommendation forms)? Also, I don't want to ask for too many recommendations now, then when I apply to colleges, they might get kinda annoyed if I ask them again. I was just wondering how those of you in my situation are going about this while ensuring that you don't ask for too much.

I’m using all different teachers(for the most part)

I’m having the same dilemmaaaa I’m applying to 11 programs lol
Cowboy112: If you are applying to a specific set of programs, shouldn’t you ask the same teachers? Like science and math teachers for science programs?

Anyone for this?

ya cowboy, you would have to have taken a lot of math and science classes during the year to be able to do that. Idk, I just don’t want them to get annoyed with me especially if I’m going to ask them again for college.

I have the same problem! Especially because most wouldn’t write a good rec for me (I screw around sometimes)

I dont plan on applying to any math or science programs so thats probably why. I just get teachers that know me well as a person (Most of my teachers)

Based on my teacher’s response to the same question, it seems like she (and perhaps other teachers) is okay writing multiple letters, since they mostly ask about the students behavior, motivation, participation in class, etc. I don’t think that having to fill up to 6-7 evaluation forms will be annoying either (but 11??). IDK for sure, though on several I’ve seen, the forms just ask the teacher to rank the student in different categories.
