So I went ahead and invited my 2 teachers as well as my additional recommender for the common app. However, I’m not sure what happens next. Do they get an email? Right before I hit invite, it said something about how they would only get an email after I assign them to each college. So do I go ahead and assign them to each individual school already (my activities and extracurricular section isn’t complete yet, can they see this?)? And by assigning them to each individual school, do they have to manually submit their recommendation to each school? Thank you.
They should get an email as soon as you invite them, however if the common app says they have to be assigned to schools to get notified then assign them to whatever schools you want. Once they type in the recommendation once for you it’s saved and you can just select what schools you want to send it too, so no they don’t have to manually submit their recommendation every time. What I would do is contact your teachers personally to see if they have received the invite. If they haven’t you can just assign them to your schools and then check back in with them to make sure they got invited.
Thank you so much! so after assigning them to all my schools, all they need to do is submit a recommendation into a “bank” once and then that automatically gets updated to each school I assigned them to?

They do not have to address their recommendation for each individual school do they ?
If you apply to 10 schools is this asking them to write 10 letters ?
SO should this be the LAST thing my son does ? It’s not very clear how this works, and we don’t want to cause work for those who offered to write letters.
