Recommendations...

I've posted this on another thread, but I wanted more responses to this question...
I had an eating disorder and depression in frosh and soph year, and of course the guidance department and some of my teachers know (the teachers who know me = the ones who will probably write recommendations for me = the teachers who know I have depression, etc.) . By no means am I going to write that down for my essay... but do you think that the teachers and guidance would have to also write about my depression/etc in their recommendations? If so, to what extent? And how would this affect admissions?
I'm afraid that the teachers might mistake my depression as an innately pessimistic personality.

other notes: yeah, it was diagnosed. and secondly, my grades didn't really suffer from it except for one quarter, where my worst grade was a C+ (I still had an A average, however.)

thanks for your advice :)

..... anybody?

Unless your depression was a hot discussion topic with your teachers, I don't think they'll make a big deal about it. They have so many students, and unless your problems were spotlighted throughout the year, I sure a lot of them will forget about that.

I have diabetes, and Ive had to leave the classroom a lot, or my pump will start beeping or something, and Im pretty sure that all my teachers have forgotten about it.

well, it wasn't spotlighted exactly, but the whole pessimism thing really showed through.
