I am having trouble deciding between whether I should send a rec from my AP Calc teacher, or my AP Bio teacher. I have a great relationship with both, and both would write me glowing reccs, however, my calc teacher actually allows us to talk to her about what we would like to focus on etc. I got an A+ in both classes; however, in AP Bio, i was the only person ever to do that in many years of teaching. In AP Calc, a good portion of the class gets an A+. Is it better to get a recc from a teacher who would likely make me seem more of a standout, or get a recc from a teacher who would make me stand out to some extent, but would also be able to focus more perhaps on qualities that make me a fit for MIT?

i’d go for the one who could write about your qualities and character better

== pwafflesprinkles. If you’re as smart as it sounds like, this should be obvious from other parts of your application. Recs and essays are where you can get across the important things that are harder to convey with stats and EC lists.
