<p>Do I add recommendations from people besides teachers and guidance counselors in additional information or recommendations?</p>
<p>I'm asking because it says "Your teachers and counselors may submit their reference letters electronically through our application system" and nothing about extra recs.
I know that they don't really like having that much additional recs/info, but I think it would help me.</p>
<p>I don’t think they accept extra recommendations. I have looked for such a thing on my application and I don’t see anything.</p>
<p>General rule, no extra recs unless they’re REALLY crucial.</p>
<p>Be sure you choose teachers who know you well enough to write something very positive about your academic ability, your interest in learning and your level of class participation. </p>
<p>Be sure to ask if they feel they can write a strong recommendation for you, because that’s crucial. If they hedge or look uncomfortable, thank them and say you will ask another teacher. Anything less than strong can hurt your chances at a top college.</p>
