Recommendations

Do recommendations really have to come from teachers who taught you in 11th and 12th grade? I feel like a teacher from my sophomore year knows me much better than some of my teacher from this year, but I don't know what to do concerning this.

I’m not an expert at this, but I think it’s a lot more favorable to universities to get letters from two teachers who taught you in grade 11 and 12. They probably want to see your performance and growth from teachers who’ve known you the latest.

And why don’t you just get the letter from your sophomore teacher as a supplementary?
