Does UChicago prefer teacher recommendations from 11th or 12th grade? I feel like two AP teachers from 10th grade would write really excellent recommendations for me, and I'm still on very good terms with them, so they know me now about as well as they knew me in 10th. I just want to make sure that there wouldn't really be a problem with this, since some colleges are really strict about that stuff.

There’s no official policy on this one, so you can feel free to submit letters from teachers from 10th grade. I would suggest thinking about varying it, though- even though you think those teachers still know you well, including a teacher from 11th or 12th grade who has seen you at a more mature age and level of learning might add something to your letters that you may lack if you ask only teachers from early on in high school to write your letters.
