i think im going to self study and take the test. So which books do you recommend?

I think Barron's and Kaplan are the best.

Not Kaplan. Princeton Review.

I hated Barron's, the review was poor and the tests did NOT AT ALL reflect the real one when I took it. It includes erroneous topics like Fluids and stuff, that isn't even on the test. Kaplan's I had no experience with but many people say it is too easy and were highly disappointed when they did much worse on the real test than the practice ones. I would advise to use Princeton Review, b/c when I took it only 1 question was not covered in the Princeton Review guide. You can get an 800 if you just learn everything in the PR book, plus the tests are representative of the real one as well.

i found alots of PR books like math 2c to contain lots of errors. so, im guessing, the physics one teaches all topics well and has no errors?

PR is very good

do a search and see for yourself

I didnt find any errors... sparknotes and barrons have errors i found though.

are there any FREE online study materials available???
I need a lot of prep for the Physics SAT

www.sparknotes.com has the sat ii physics book you could read online and you get 1 free practice test. Just be aware the practice tests are kind of off, but the lessons are good.

ye5a i think im gonna stick with the spark notes and the PR. thanks everyone for replyin

kaplan is very good!!! i got 800 with it...

I also did a little from princeton review and did the practice tests...

i got 760 highest on kaplan test
670 highest on princeton review test

800 on real thing...
