I am a current senior who is currently applying to colleges/universities. Although I just started taking computer science courses, I am really interesting in majoring in this field. I live in Massachusetts and I am having a hard time looking for schools that offer a good computer science course.

Right now, I am only aiming for colleges in the New England area, however I will consider some southern ones.

Here are my list of colleges so far that I may apply to:
Northeastern University
Umass Amherst (backup)
Umass Dartmouth (backup)
University of Connecticut
WPI
Virginia Tech
Penn State University Park

Cost and financial aid constraints? Try putting “cost of attendance” and “financial aid estimator” in each school’s web site search box.

CMU, MIT, Stony Brook, UMCP, RPI are in your region, though you’ll have to check cost and financial aid if that is a constraint.

Elsewhere around the country, you may want to look at Minnesota and Cal Poly SLO, which have relatively low out-of-state list prices (as does Virginia Tech).

I agree with all the schools on andrewt787 's list (maybe with a different ranking). Also Univ of Washington is very good if the northwest is a geographic option
