Basically, I'd like above a 750 on both. My past records are not good (670 on MII and 690 on Lit), and I've used what's recommended (Barron's for Math II and Kaplan's for Lit). What would you high scorers recommend to get my scores up there?

If you’ve already done all the practice tests in the books and read/reviewed the information that they contain then I don’t know what to tell you. Otherwise go through both of the books and learn all of the lessons.

For Math II, take the Barron’s practice tests and review every answer and the theory behind it.

For Lit, just read plenty of literature. I’m not sure how you would study for this one…

I’ll throw out sparknotes for M2. I took precalc over the summer in 2 months, so I doubt I knew the material as well as most people. I took the practice tests on there and pulled an 800 out of my butt. Trust me, I don’t think many people have good things to say about it but it helped me.

^ I agree but after the second test they start getting really inaccurate.

I don’t very much trust the Sparknotes tests either. If you’ve exhausted the recommended material for both books, what were your highest practice test scores? If you’re getting at least 700 on Barrons Math II, you should be good. If you’ve already done all the tests, try Princeton’s tests and the Collegeboard tests (the two from the Math guide and one from the entire Subject Test guide)

Use princeton for Math 2… Pretty comprehensive!

For Math II, look for schoolisfun’s thread on CC where he posted a link to a study guide that he made. It was extremely helpful. It was literally the only thing I read prior to the November SAT II’s (and I haven’t taken pre-calc in more than a year) and I ended up scoring a 790.

For Literature, I’ve heard that the Kaplan book is good and has the most accurate practice tests, though I can’t say that from personal experience since I never used it (my local library didn’t have a copy of it). But if you’re good at reading and analyzing literature, you should be fine. I didn’t really do much studying for this either, since I wasn’t sure exactly how to prepare, but ended up with a 750.
