Recommended Labtop

I need help choosing a labtop. So If you guys don't mind, can you recommend a labtop that would be great for me in college (in general), in the following format:

Maker (i.e. Dell, Apple, etc):

Reason Why:

What are your schools requirements and what do you want to be able to do on it?

*** is a labtop

Just please don’t get a Mac.

Toshiba is good, that’s what I use.

lmao labtop

thefrog91 why not a mac ??? but if you do choose to get a PC id say HP… HP gets the best reviews out of all the PC laptops plus they just look the best lol [ get good deals for nice specs too ]

Buy from Newegg whatever you get. Or maybe tiger direct. They nearly always have the best prices.

Macs are actually pretty good. The notebooks I mean. They actually look better than PC laptops. I just can’t stand the keyboards that laptops have. Most of the time they are a piece of a crap.

I got an HP when it was on sale. Check out slickdeals.net for deals on laptops.

Firstly, you need spell check.
Secondly, you really shouldnt be asking random people on the internet what you should spend $400 - $2000 dollars on. If you want some real help, look up some brands and find some professional reviews.
Thirdy, I love my mac. =]

newegg generally has terrible computer deals

Sony Vaio’s are so much sexier than the Macs;
:D

Either an Apple or Sony Vaio.

HP/Compaq make excellent computers. My Compaq Presario is a year old now and I’ve never had any problems with it.

What are you majoring in? Engineers and studio art majors need different specs on their laPtops.

Get a Lenovo ThinkPad. Business-class build quality, but with a reasonable price.

Agreed ^.

10char

Macs suck, so don’t get one (please!) I really suggest HP, but Sony, Dell, Toshiba, etc. aren’t bad either.

Why do Macs suck?

And HP and Toshiba are garbage companies. Get a Lenovo, Sony, or Dell (in that order) if you’re getting a PC.

Hey I’m looking for a college laptop aswell but can anybody explain the reason why’s everybody’s so Anti-Mac?? I was looking to get one (they’re just so sexiii :P) but every time a mac+college question pops up everybody goes “noooo!!!11!1”…

So I’m kinda not sure now, I know I shouldn’t go by other people’s brand preference but is their a specific reason college ppl seem so anti-mac? (compatibility problems perhaps??)
