Trying to complete some college apps. They ask for AP scores.

My D got a 2 on one of her AP exams. Should she even report this? When she took the AP exam, she did not indicate that it should be sent to any school.

Thanks!

Unless the particular school concerned is willing to grant college credit or otherwise grant your child a boost, I wouldn’t.

A score of less than a 3 isn’t something that’s likely to bolster one’s college application…especially considering most colleges I know of won’t grant credit for scores below 3.

I wouldn’t.The fact that she took the class will be on her transcript but no need to report the score or send the score now. You can always check after she’s been accepted and picked a college to see if the 2 is of any value and make a decision then but I’m guessing that for most colleges that use AP credit a 3 or better is required.

Worse than useless.

We were told not to report any low scores, so D didn’t.

Don’t. 1 or 2 is failing, you can’t get credit for it anywhere. I have a 2 myself that I’m not reporting.
