<p>Hey guys, Im applying for this scholarship but I am not sure how the recommender and nominator forms work. My school uses naviance to send colleges my transcript and recommendation letters. If I have to do it on the gates website what exactly do I have to do and who should I ask (teacher, guidance counselor)?</p>
<p>Give your recommenders/nominators your GMS ID (Usually follows this format: zip code-last 4 digits of main phone number), then tell them to go to registration page for the application (<a href=“https://scholarships.gmsp.org/Registration/RegisterCheck[/url]”>https://scholarships.gmsp.org/Registration/RegisterCheck</a>). Make sure they CHECK that they are a REFERENCE at the bottom and sign up.</p>
<p>Please let your references know ASAP that you are having them do these forms. Also remember:
Recommender=Someone who knows your community service and leadership well (NHS advisor, supervisor of where you volunteer/volunteer coordinator, boss, etc.)
Nominator=Someone who knows your character well (close teacher, counselor, boss, etc.)
It is important that you provide them with a resume of what you have done so they have more to write about you in the forms.</p>
