@Hockeydad223 Congrats!! @10paf23 Yeah, I have a friend going to Newark and wants to transfer using the school-to-school transfer. I’ll be a commuter and Newark is about an hour away so it isn’t really a realistic option for me since Monmouth is about 25 minutes away from me and so is RU New Brunswick! Congrats to your daughter though, glad everything worked out for her.
Hello, everyone. I was recently rejected by both SAS and SEBS. I’m almost finished with my first semester at Seton Hall University in South Orange, New Jersey. RU rejected me with my high school stats, which weren’t great to say the least.
I am a Biology major, so my classes are tough. I’m taking the following classes:
General Biology- Organisms
General Chemistry I
General Chemistry Lab I
Journey of Transformation (Core)
University Life (Core)
Calculus I
This semester has been decent. However, I’m probably going to take General Chemistry Lab I in the Summer, in order to receive a better grade. I am also taking the ACT on the 18th. The Summer class will run from May 19th to June 23rd.
Question: If I get a better ACT score this time around (got a score in the low-mid twenties last time), and manage to finish the semester with a 3.5+ grade point average (considering the summer class), what are my chances of being reconsidered?
@sergiok I believe there is a separate thread for Rutgers Transfers 2015 and you will have better luck there to get an answer!
Thank you! But, can you just tell me your opinion, lol?
@sergiok I personally hate how they still reconsider High School stats but as long as you do considerably greater in college than you did in HS, you have a great chance of acceptance. Definitely keep that GPA up and it’s great that you’re retaking the ACTs and hopefully get a better score.
@rutonyu Did the reconsideration letter help you get into Rutgers NB?
